1
Look around and observe the universal law of cause and effect in operation everywhere in your physical world. Every physical form/event/circumstance you perceive is an effect that owes its ultimate origin and existence to a cause/idea/energy that is formless and nonphysical.
-
2
Notice that this law also operates the same way in the invisible realm. This can readily be observed in thoughts and feelings. In this case, observe that thoughts are the cause of feelings. Think a positive thought and it will produce a positive feeling. Think a negative thought and it will produce a negative feeling.

3
Make a conscious intention to apply this universal law to your desire to experience peace in your life. Do it right here and now. Allow yourself the pleasure and joy of thinking thoughts you consider to be peaceful. Use your imagination to vividly and brightly see in your mind's eye a serene scene you consider to be peaceful. Allow all of the five senses to be intensely involved in this experience.
-
4
Notice the feelings that follow your peaceful thoughts and imaginings. They are peaceful feelings. They correspond in intensity to the intensity of the thoughts that you imagine. The greater the thoughts that reflect peace, the greater is your resultant feeling of peace.
-
5
Realize the potential that is available to you in this exercise. Do this by repeating this practice of peace on a moment to moment basis. This is what living in peace means-choosing peace in each moment. In the least, use this knowledge to experience peace in your life whenever you desire to do so.
