Selections include fruit and vegetable juices mixed with protein powder. There are also herbal tonics averaging $4 (liquid herb and fruit essence combined with club soda) as well as coffee drinks and herbal and black teas.

Belly up to the bar inside, where a self service counter with barstools affords a peek at the staff whirling up wheatgrass shooters, carrot and pineapple juice smoothies, and more. There are also several tables inside as well as patio seating.Order a sandwich from the limited lunch menu (veggie, chicken or turkey are all good).

Finish with a housebaked cookie for dessert, then take home a treat for your four legged friend. Dog muffins and other treats are baked without salt or sugar and include peanut butter, banana and other healthy flavors. Bring Fido with you for an al fresco meal; the eatery has several outside tables and chairs for patrons with animals. There’s also a well stocked area inside the eatery of doggie treats, including in-house baked “mutt muffins” available fresh daily.

Browse through the store’s selection of natural foods, pet paraphenalia, greeting cards, and other eclectic gift items. Finish your visit with a leisurely walk along the man-made lake outside the restaurant.
