If you’ve waited too long to buy a Halloween costume or if you received a last-minute invitation to a costume party, a bubble girl costume may be the right choice for you. The bubble girl costume requires only a few items, some of which you may already have. This non-traditional costume will be sure to turn heads at the Halloween party and may even win a costume contest or two for its originality.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 100 foot roll of bubble wrap
  • clear packing tape
  • white sweatpants
  • white sweatshirt
  1. Step 1

Purchase a large roll of bubble wrap. You can get rolls of bubble wrap from office-supply stores. Depending on your size, you should buy at least a 100-foot roll. It’s better to overestimate how much you’ll need because you don’t want to run out when your costume is only partly constructed.

  2. Step 2

Cut a 2-foot length of bubble wrap, then cut it 3 inches wide. This will serve as your bow.

  3. Step 3

Put on the white sweatpants and sweatshirt. White is a good color to use because it won’t show through the bubble wrap.

  4. Step 4

Wrap your left leg from ankle to the top of your thigh in bubble wrap. Cover the leg at least three times. Secure the bubble wrap with clear packing tape.

  5. Step 5

Wrap your right leg the same way and secure the bubble wrap with clear packing tape.

  6. Step 6

Wrap the bubble wrap around your hips and waist and fold it into the waistband of your pants. Secure the wrap with tape, but be sure you’ll be able to pull your sweatpants down to your knees without wrecking the bubble wrap on your legs. This way you will be able to use the restroom without destroying your costume.

  7. Step 7

Wrap your stomach and chest in bubble wrap and secure with tape.

  8. Step 8

Wrap each arm individually with bubble wrap and secure with tape.

  9. Step 9

Tie the 2-foot length of bubble wrap you cut earlier around your forehead and tie the remaining length into a bow.
