How to Repair Broken Hyperlinks Using Frontpage 2000

You do not want to discourage visitors from visiting your site as a result of it having broken links. You should always manually check the links on your site. Access your FrontPage program. Open the Web page for which you are repairing the broken links. Click on the "Menu bar" and then choose "View." Select "Reports." This will display the site summary reports.

Click "Broken Links" under "Site Summary." A broken links report is displayed. Each broken link on your site is listed here. The Broken Hyperlinks report does not by default include external hyperlinks. Choose the broken link that you would like to repair first by double clicking it. The "Edit Hyperlink" dialog box will appear.

Type the correct name of the link under "Replace Hyperlink with." FrontPage will replace the broken link on your page with this correct location. Click "Edit Page" if you want to edit the page on which the hyperlink is located. Click "Browse" to locate the location of the hyperlink if the box does not display it.

Click the "Replace" button and FrontPage program will replace your hyperlinks with the correct link. Do a thorough check of the hyperlinks on your website and verify that they have been repaired.
