Your characters will frequently be hunted by incorporeal spirits called Shadows during the PC role-playing game "Planescape Torment." You can even the odds and make yourself more resistant to their attacks by using an item called the Negative Energy Token, which can be found by talking to an experienced adventurer named Candrian in the Smoldering Corpse Bar.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • "Planescape Torment" PC Game
  1. Step 1
    The Mortuary
     
    The Mortuary

    Leave the Mortuary at the beginning of the game and then head into the section of the city of Sigil called the Hive.

  2. Step 2
    The Southeast Hive
     
    The Southeast Hive

    Walk through the city until you reach the area marked on your map as the Southeastern section of the Hive.

  3. Step 3
    Outside the Smoldering Corpse
     
    Outside the Smoldering Corpse

    Go inside the tavern at the center of the area called the Smoldering Corpse Bar.

  4. Step 4
    Meeting Candrian
     
    Meeting Candrian

    Talk to the translucent man named Candrian who is sitting at the table on the left side of the bar.

  5. Step 5
    The Negative Energy Token
     
    The Negative Energy Token

    Allow Candrian to speak to you until you get the dialog option to ask him about the Negative Energy Plane. Let him continue talking about this until you then get the option to ask him what happened that allowed him to live in such a hostile environment, which will prompt him to give you the Negative Energy Token.

Tips & Warnings
  • A character who equips the Negative Energy Token will be hit less often by the undead creatures called Shadows.
  • If you access your inventory screen and choose to use the Negative Energy Token as an item it will paralyze any Shadows that are around your character.
