Use large Christmas cookie cutters to outline your decoration on a piece of craft foam. You will need 4 coasters; these can be made from the same design or 4 different ones. Cut the designs out of the foam. Remember, the coasters don't have to be round, just large enough to cover the bottom of a standard size cup.

Decorate a Christmas tree by drawing on the balls and garland with permanent markers. For adults and older children, you can cut out holes in the tree for the balls and space inside the tree for the garland. Then cut out the balls and garland from another color foam. Put a little glue on the sides and put the pieces in the holes, like a puzzle. You can do the same with snowmen, balls and bells.

Use your foam cut-out to trace on a piece of felt and cut the felt pieces out to the exact size of the foam. Glue the felt piece on the bottom of the foam. This will catch any moisture that may get through where you've glued pieces in.
