How to Delete AVG Free in Windows
There are many versions of AVG Free floating around. For the best security, you should always get the latest version. But downloading the latest version doesn't mean the older version on your hard drive will be deleted. Often, you have to do that manually. You also need to delete AVG Free if you decide to go with another anti-virus software program.

Tips & Warnings
It is safer for you to download a new anti virus program before deleting AVG Free, especially if you have to go online to download your new program.
Don't use AVG Free if you have McAfee, even if you turn off McAfee's anti-virus program. These programs do not play nicely together and will slow your computer down.
Don't put off deleting AVG Free. It will automatically come on every time you go online, whether you want it to or not. This will slow your computer down to a crawl if you also have a newer version of AVG Free or another anti-virus program installed.
