Printer ink is very expensive, but by taking your used cartridges to the right place, you can help the environment and get some money back, too. It's fast, easy and free, and will help you reduce your office-related expenses.

Instructions
  1. Step 1

Collect your used printer cartridges. You can recycle them one at a time or return an entire pile all at once.

  2. Step 2

Bring the printer cartridges to a Staples store near you.

  3. Step 3

Find a checkout desk and announce that you would like to recycle your printer cartridges for money back.

  4. Step 4

Fill out the necessary information, including your name and address, and you will be sent a Staples reward card--and perhaps special coupons and/or promotions, too.

  5. Step 5

Wait for your cash-back coupon to arrive in the mail. Staples gives you $3 back for every cartridge in the form of a Staples gift certificate. You can use it to save on future ink purchases or other office supplies.

Tips & Warnings
  • Return several cartridges at once if you'd like one large reward certificate instead of several smaller ones.
