Step 1
Make an overhand loop.Start the dropper by making an overhand loop where the finished dropper will be located. The length of the dropper will be determined by the size of the loop. The size of the loop will be easier to judge with some practice tying several loops. See illustration Step 1.
-
Step 2
Form two loops.Grasp one end of the line and pull it down and under the big loop, forming two loops. See illustration Step 2.
-
Step 3
Five to six twists.Grab the small loop and run it through and around the big loop. Make five to six twists. See illustration Step 3.
-
Step 4
Make a new loop.Pull the top of the big loop through the small loop, forming a new loop. See illustration Step 4.
-
Step 5
Pull on both ends to tighten.Pull on both ends of the standing lines at the same time, tightening the coils. Moistening the twists will help them to tighten smoothly. See illustration Step 5.
