Examine ads for new products closely. Many list the product's Web address. Visit the address and check for free samples. Many offer one or two samples of new products. Make your selection and fill out the accompanying form. Most ask you to register at the site and fill out a brief survey. You may be required to provide your phone number. This doesn't mean they will call you. It is used to track those who have asked for samples. You will also be asked to provide an email address. You can generally opt out of any further correspondence from the company by checking the appropriate box.

Note what the product is so you have all the information you need when you sit down to the computer or make that call. Follow the instructions to redeem the sample.

Search for specific items by name online. If you already know the manufacturer, simply go to that site. Look for links to free samples on the home page. If none are available, use the site search or site map to locate one. Most sites provide a visible link to free samples on the front page, but these offers are sometimes concealed in other areas of the site. Check back often, as offers change.
