Most units have websites and you can look up information by by clicking on the category "Units" at the very top of the official US Marine website (see Resources). Once you click on the "Unit" button, you will be directed to a complete list of units with names, email and snail mail addresses and telephone contact information for the unit commander.

Search the internet for other Marine-based communities: If you you cannot find your soldier's unit you may want to contact an organization whose mission is to help families and friends of Marines. There are many different online groups for sharing information and tips for keeping in touch and up to date on the news of your soldier. Most of these websites are created and run by civilians and are not official Marine sites, but they provide useful and timely information.
