How to Make Famous Amos Chocolate Chip Cookies

Another cookie recipe that everyone loves...

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1/2 lb. butter (or margarine can be substituted, but let's be honest, butter is best...)
  • 1 c. light brown sugar, packed
  • 3 eggs
  • 3 c. Bisquick
  • 1 c. cornstarch
  • 1/2 c. non-fat milk powder
  • 2 tbsp. Sanka (or coffee powder
  • 1 tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 tbsp. vanilla
  • 1 12 oz. bag of semi-sweet chocoalte pieces
  • 4 oz. pecans, well chopped
  1. Step 1

    Preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

  2. Step 2

    Cream the butter until it is light and fluffy with an electric mixer on high speed.

  3. Step 3

    Beat in the sugars until it's a very creamy mix. Beat in the eggs, one at a time, then each ingredient that's left in order, except for the semi-sweet chocolate pieces and chopped pecans.

  4. Step 4

    When the dough is smooth enough, work the semi-sweet chocolate pieces and chopped pecans in with a wooden spoon.

  5. Step 5

    Make grape size dough balls and place them 1" apart on an un-greased cookie sheet.

  6. Step 6

    Bake for 14 minutes or until they're golden brown.

Tips & Warnings
  • Makes a dozen per batch
  • You can perfectly freeze the unbaked cookie dough. Thaw it, shape it and bake it up. Keeps for 4 months in the freezer.
