Things You'll Need:
- Blush in a color that complements your skin tone
- A brush
-
Step 1
Sweep the blush brush across the blush. Tap it once to shake off the excess. This is so you don't end up with a spot that's too dark. You can add on a layer easier than you can remove one from your face.
-
Step 2
Place the brush on your temples. That is, almost at your hairline, below eye level.
-
Step 3
Sweep the brush toward your nose.
-
Step 4
Repeat a couple times until you have the desired amount of color.
-
Step 5
That's it! I was originally taught the opposite. Start 2 finger spaces away from the nose, and sweep toward the temple. But that didn't work out for me! And if you think about it, it makes sense. If you start at the temple and work inward, you won't end up with the majority of the color near your nose, like I used to. It looks more blended and natural if you have less color near your nose. For more beauty tips, I've included resources below. Good luck!

on 1/26/2009 I know lots of people say to apply blush just smile to find the apple of your cheeks, but like I said, since I don't have prominent cheekbones this just did NOT work for me. The opposite (working inward from temples to nose) DOES work for me when I apply blush. But of course, if you've found a method that works for you, absolutely stick with it! My article here just provides an alternative if the typical method isn't giving you results you're happy with when you apply blush :)

on 1/26/2009 To find the 'apple of your cheeks' you SMILE! Bam, there it is. I apply my blush by smiling and burshing the blush upwards. Gorgeous! It works for me.
