Seashells are an inexpensive way to decorate clay art projects. Here is a simple seashell craft project for kids and adults.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy

Instructions

Step 1

Using the Sculpey clay, roll or press it into a small bowl shape on a protected surface. You can make your holder in any shape you desire.
Step 2

Press small seashells into the inside and outside of the clay.
Step 3

Have an adult bake the clay in the oven according to product instructions.
Step 4

Let the clay cool to room temperature.
Step 5

To add shine to your project, spray a light coat of clear coat on the finished project (according to directions on the can).

Tips & Warnings

Using more than one color of clay can create a more colorful and unique project.
Keep the thickness of the clay the same throughout the project to allow the clay to bake evenly.
These make great Father's Day, Mothers Day, Birthday, Teacher and other Holiday gifts.
Use clean wax cereal bags from empty cereal boxes for a working surface with clay.
Use caution when baking the clay in your oven.
Use caution and read over your clear coat spray can before using.
