Things You'll Need:
- Size 13 long straight needles
- 3 balls of chunky weight yarn (Lion Homespun is great)
- Tapestry needle
- Basic knitting skills

Step 1
Cast on 4 stitches.
Row 1: Knit across
Row 2: Knit 2, yarn over, knit across.
Repeat row 2 until the blanket is HALF of the desired length, switching to circular needles if you have to. Around 100 stitches will make a good size play blanket. -
Step 2
After you've repeated row 2 until the blanket is HALF your desired length, you'll start the decreasing:

Step 3
Knit 1, knit 2 together, yarn over, knit 2 together, knit across.
Repeat this sequence on every row until you have only 4 stitches left on your needle. Bind off and weave in ends!
