How to Make Homemade Sweet Potato French Fries

Things You'll Need

  • 6 medium sweet potatoes
  • Pam cooking spray
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 3 tablespoons canola oil
  • pinch of cinnamon

Instructions

      Set your oven to 425 degrees and spray a cookie sheet with Pam and set it aside.

      Peel the potatoes and cut them into 1/2" strips. Put them in a large zip loc bag with the oil, salt and, if you want, the cinnamon. Close the bag and shake it until all the potato strips are coated with the oil mixture.

      Place potatoes in a single layer on the baking sheet and place in the oven for 20 minutes. Flip strips over and bake for an additional 20 minutes or until they are nice and brown. Remove, sprinkle with more salt, if needed and serve immediately.

Tips & Warnings

  • The recipe can serve up to six people and is low in saturated fat when canola oil is used.
