Baking Spaghetti Squash
Baking Spaghetti Squash

Baking spaghetti squash is easy and makes a fun side dish. Its yellow color, delicate taste and spaghetti form adds interest to any main meal.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Spaghetti squash
  • sharp knife
  • tin foil or cookie sheet
  • fork
  1. Step 1

Wash the outer skin of the squash and the cut the squash lengthwise in half.

  2. Step 2

Scoop out the seeds from the center and place the squash halves outside down on either a cookie sheet or tin foil.

  3. Step 3

Bake for 30 minutes in a preheated oven 350 degrees.

  4. Step 4

Cool squash till you can handle. Using a fork, scrape the inside flesh lengthwise. It will shred and look like spaghetti.

Tips & Warnings
  • You can scape the inside flesh when still hot if you use a potholder to hold the squash while scraping.
  • The shredded flesh can be used in my recipe: Spaghetti Squash and Carrot Bread.
