Glazed Walnuts

Glazed walnuts are a wonderful treat for the Thanksgiving holiday! Easy to make and can be put in decorative tins or glass jars to give as gifts. Does this Spark an idea?

2 cups walnuts
1/2 cup sugar
1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  Put sugar and salt in a large heavy skillet. Cook over medium heat.

  Add walnuts to skillet when the sugar begins to melt. Stirring the mixture constantly.

  Cook sugar-nut mixture until the sugar is completely melted and turns a rich, golden brown.

  Transfer nut mixture to waxed paper and let cool slightly.

  Separate nuts.

Tips & Warnings

Great to put in decorative tins or jars for the holidays!
Be careful not to over cook as the color changes quickly.
