1
Use hypoallergenic and fragrance-free cosmetics. Check the labels and ingredients of cosmetic products you are using for common irritants such as alcohol, parabens, fragrance and color additives. Your skincare products should be based on natural and naturally extracted ingredients, not man-made chemicals. Alcohol dries the skin, increasing its sensitivity. Parabens are one common preservative in skincare products that can also irritate your skin. Fragrances and color additives can likewise cause skin irritation. It is especially important for you to moisturize your skin on a regular basis. Use a moisturizer designed specifically for sensitive skin.

Change your towels, pillows, blankets and bed sheets regularly. Itchy and irritated skin are sometimes caused by skin contact with those items we use everyday. Keep your towels, pillows, blankets and bed sheets clean and dust-free by changing them at least every week.

4
Wear cotton clothes and avoid fabrics that make your skin itchy. Materials like wool and latex can cause skin irritation, making your skin red and itchy. Likewise, choose underwear made of soft and smooth fabric.

5
Stay away from stress, because it can cause heightened skin sensitivity. Drink plenty of water to keep your skin hydrated and healthy. Eat a healthy diet with plenty of fruits and vegetables.
-
6
Limit your exposure to things that can irritate your skin. Wear protective clothing to avoid reddening or burning skin as a result of sun, heat, cold or wind. When washing dishes or cleaning the house, wear gloves to protect your skin, especially when you are using detergents and strong cleaning products.
