Things You'll Need:
- Ivy or other water loving plant.
- Vase or any glass vessel
- Aquarium gravel rocks
- Plastic lid
- Tap water
-
Step 1
Wash the vase (or other glass vessel) well with vinegar and tap water.
-
Step 2
Add aquarium rocks and or river rocks from the home decor department of stores.
-
Step 3
Add some aquarium plants in the bottom if you like or an aquarium decoration or any other decoration you like even marbles. Use your creativity.
-
Step 4
Find a plastic lid from a plastic storage container that will fit over your vase. I chose a dark green one to go with the green in my plant. Take a pair of kitchen shears and poke a hole close to the middle of the lid. Cut out a circle in the middle about the size of a large coin or larger if you want a lot of plant vines in the arrangement.
-
Step 5
Add tap water. Fill to about one inch from the top of the vase. Only fill one third of the way with water for the lucky bamboo. Then add vines from your ivy plant. Cut vines under the nodes (little root buds).

on 12/27/2008 I love the rock idea. Hadn't thought of that for my bamboos but will add some today. (Wish I was creative like that! Thank God for EHOW!)
