Things You'll Need:
- A free Auctiva Account
- approximately 30 minutes to set up an ebay auction template
- a clear idea of your auction terms and conditions
-
Step 1
opalpearl3 master profileGo to www.auctiva.com and open a free account. I love this service. It has saved me many hours of work by setting up an auction template. Auctiva calls them Master Profiles.
-
Step 2
The image above shows part of my master profile. A master profile consists of a item detail, marketing, shipping, and checkout profile.
In order to create a master profile, you must first create all of the smaller profiles I just mentioned and then add them to a master profile and name the master profile. -
Step 3
You must start with a clear idea of how you are going to market and ship your items. I usually use USPS Priority Mail and I find it affordable and reliable. When I set up my shipping profile, I chose my service and set it to calculate shipping. When I list an item, I put the weight of the package in the form and hit save. I do not have to keep saying I want to use Priority Mail because my profile will automatically have that option checked for me.
This is what saves all the time when you are listing several items.
It is all about making choices ahead of time and setting up your item detail, marketing, shipping and checkout profiles to reflect the choices you are planning to use for your ebay ads. -
Step 4
After filling out the individual profiles you create your master profile and name it. You make sure that you add all of the individual profiles to your master profile.
The great thing about Auctiva is that you save money on your photos because you can add up to 24 images for the price of one image. This is an extremely valuable tool. The more photos you put in your ads, the better. -
Step 5
The fun part is choosing from the many pretty templates they have available. I have one template saved for my profile but I change the template whenever I'm in the mood for a different look for my ebay ads.
Mix it up and have fun. Enjoy the process. Happy ebay selling.
