Also, when reading to someone else, you will likely say your eulogy speech a lot faster and this will give you a more accurate results when timing the speech.

The last bit of help that I can offer is that when giving eulogys, make sure you take deep breaths. There are a lot of emotions running through you and these deep breaths will help you gather yourself. Also, you know how long it takes you to take a breath... not long. These breaths will remind you that you are only taking a small simple pause.
