Things You'll Need:
- video games
- gaming systems
-
Step 1
Start by doing research on the games that you already have. Decide if you want to get just Nintendo games or Atari games and specialize in one area.
-
Step 2
Go to thrift stores, flea markets, friends basements, and every place else than you can think of to locate these old video games. If you run across a game that you already have go ahead and buy it because you want one for your collection and another for trading.
-
Step 3
Some of the games that you will be looking for are LochJaw and Video Life. Lockjaw was taken after the movie Jaws, but because of copyright infringement it had to be pulled. Because of that it has a high value. Put these on your list, so you will always have your eye out for them.
-
Step 4
It would be a good idea to also have a gaming system, like the Atari 2600 so you are able to make sure the games work. Games that don't work are not worth anything.

on 4/2/2009 Awesome. I found some old atari stuff at a thrift store once. I've even found N64 games for like 4 bucks. I have Wii and PS3, but it's fun to go back to the older consoles. Nice article!

on 1/4/2009 I have collected 300 or so of the original NES Systems I do always buy the extra ones too lol. It is going to be very hard to finish this collection as there is one game called stadium events that is so rare that I may not be able to find it. I've see them sell for $1400 my wife would kill me if I bought that. Anyway happy gaming. If you want to trade for some of my doubles. I have them listed on my website.www.kenslog.com
