The steps to repair the puncture

Things You'll Need:

  • tire patch kit
  1. Step 1

    Check the surface of the tire to identify puncture.

  2. Step 2

    If the leak is not identified, inflate the tube and dip it in a basin with water and look for escaping air bubble.

  3. Step 3

    Rough up the area with adbrasive from the tire patch kit and wipe it clean.

  4. Step 4

    Apply a thin and even layer of rubber solution the area and a little bigger than the patch area and let it dry for a couple of minutes.

  5. Step 5

    Pull one end of the protective layer from the patch without touching the adhesive side of the patch and apply the patch to the treated area of the tube, centered on the hole.

  6. Step 6

    Apply firm pressure to the entire patch for a minute, squeeze it by hand and rub it.

  7. Step 7

    Sprinkle some talcum powder over the patched area to prevent it from adhering to the side of the tire cover.

  8. Step 8

    Inflate the tube and wait about a minute to make sure it is not leaking. If it is, repeat the repair.
