Things You'll Need:

  • concrete stain, and degreaser, sprayer small garden sprayer, nylon brush stain neutralizer .
  1. Step 1

    make sure surface is clean and dry. If it is old concrete it is best to clean with a degrease as grease and oil stains will cause the stain to not adhere. in fresh concrete make sure it has cured for at least 28 days. Take a pump up sprayer and coat the entire surface one done take a stiff brush to work into surface in a circular motion and keep working excess stain into surface and don't let puddles dry.

  2. Step 2

    Let sit for about 6 hours before applying an second coat as on floors you should apply at lease 2 but 3 is better. allow final coat to dry for about 12 hours.

  3. Step 3

    The last step is to neutralize the surface using the recommend solution by the stain maker. be sure to work into surface and mop all liquid up when finished. After cleaning the neutralizer up clean floor with a mop and water to get all color off. let floor dry for 24 hours after final cleaning. and before applying a sealer to the new stained concrete floor

Tips & Warnings
  • Don let stain puddle, be sure to work stain into all surfaces and corners
  • read warning label on stain bottle and follow them as all are different
