Things You'll Need:
- Frying Pan
- 6 Eggs
- 6 Tablespoons Milk
- 1/2 Teaspoon Salt
- 1 Tablespoon Butter
-
Step 1
To make a fluffy omelet for an average family use 6 eggs. Beat the yolks thoroughly and add 6 tablespoons of milk. If preferred, the milk may be heated this will cook the yolks slightly when it is added and give the omelet a smoother consistency.
-
Step 2
Fold the yolk mixture gradually into the beaten egg whites and add the salt. Pre heat your omelet pan with 1 tablespoon of butter or olive oil. Pour the egg mixture into the pan and cover. When the omelet is done, crease it through the center, fold it over with a spatula, and slide it onto a plate without attempting to lift it from the pan.
-
Step 3
For a vegetable omelet, add any combination of cooked vegetables such as onions, mushrooms, or asparagus to the egg mixture before it is cooked or vegetable can be spread over half of the cooked omelet before it is folded and turned on to the plate.
