How to help your dog though a seizure

Your dog goes into a seizure you don't know what to do and what you do may cause more damage. this is why it is important to know what to do in that situation.

  1. Step 1

    First of all the most important thing to do is to stay clam to be able to help the dog though this. A seizure if a short violet attack o unconsciousness accompanied by stiffness and followed by uncontrolled movements. There are many reason why this can happen to your dog. it may be cause by shock, accident, injuries, epilepsy. if the dog have epilepsy your vet may recommend a medicine or will tell you what to do.

  2. Step 2

    If the dog goes into a seizure it is very important to not restrain the dog and to move everything away from him that may cause him injury. Also do not get close to him because while they are going though this they may bite you.

  3. Step 3

    while the dog is going though this you should throw a towel over the dogs body. while the dog is going though this be prepared that the dog may pee, vomit, or poop.

  4. Step 4

    this usually stop before calling vet so just make an appointment unless the dog continues to have seizures or one that last more then 5 minutes.

  • symptoms of seizure are dazed expression, light muscle twitching, licking of the lips, restlessness, nervousness, and change of personality.
