      There is absolutely no secret in knowing how to start a converstion other than noticing things around you to talk about. Directing the subject toward the person who you are about to start a conversation is the best formula.

      Look for things around you which have an effect on both of you. Again, something about the other person is always best. Either ask a question or make a statement about how this thing makes an impression on you.

      Nothing is wrong talking about the weather, however bring it down to your space. Is it hot in here? Do you think it's chilli in this place? Do you feel a draft? These are all ice brakers, but can be very effective conversation starters.

      Anything which you can ask a question about or make a statement relating to them is good. Make sure it's very tactful and appropriate. This is not about trying to pick someone up, it's only about starting a conversation. A tatoo. Clothing, shoes, watch, necklace, braclet, perfume, cologne, coat, tie, color of their hair, eyes, pocketbook, etc...

      "May I ask where you got that..." Is all you'll ever need to start a conversation.

      There are a plethora of things to talk about around you, and the best way is to just start talking about them. People don't want to make fools of themselves, but in order to get the ball rolling you have to start talking! Make a statement or ask a question of the other person about practically anything in the room you're in. "I wished they'd open the blinds, it's dark in here, What do you think?"

      Contrary to popular belief you never have to begin by introducing yourself in a conversation. You will eventually get to this, but it's just not neccessary to start out the conversation. Don't get me wrong, it's definately appropriate, it's just not a requirement.

  • Be Gracious.

  • Be Charming.

  • Be Humble.

  • Listen to the other person carefully, and continue the conversation about something they've have said.

  • Do not ramble.

  • No smary pick up lines.

  • Do not talk about yourself too much.
