I raised puppies for many years as a well known expert in a couple of different breeds at different times in my life. I also worked in the professional dog world for over twenty years and for a number of veterinarians.

This is a proven formula for raising puppies and kittens from newborn to weaning when they have to be bottle fed.

Bottle feeding puppies instructions will be in another article because of the word limits, you can find it on my other articles page.

Of course, check with your own pet doctor for further information on the care of the puppy.

This article is not giving medical advise, it is only to inform you of an alternative to store bought puppy formulas. By using this recipe you agree that the author will not be held responsible.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Evaporated milk
  • Caro corn Syrup
  • egg yokes
  • bottled water or boiled water
  1. Step 1

The younger the puppies the cleaner you must make all equipment and ingredients. Boil all bottles, water to be used, nipples and keep it clean just like you would for a human baby. The puppies can get sick and die fast if you are not strict about this one rule.

  2. Step 2

Mix one can of evaporated milk with one can of boiled water, add one table spoon of caro syrup and stir well.

  3. Step 3

Separate 1 egg yoke from the whites of the egg. Discard or use the whites elsewhere.

  4. Step 4

Mix the yoke well then add it to the milk mixture and stir well.

Bottle the milk in baby bottles until use.

Tips & Warnings
  • Always heat to just warm temperature before feeding and burp puppies well or they will get an upset stomach and can get very sick.
