How to inspect a mountain bike before the ride

It is a good idea to inspect the bike before taking it to a ride

Difficulty: Easy

Instructions

1. Check the quick releases on the wheels and on the brakes to make sure they are in closed position.

2. Check the tires and make sure they are inflated properly. Always use a pressure gauge

3. Check the gears by lifting the rear wheel off the ground and engaging each gear combination while turning the pedals.

4. Rotate each wheel to see if they turn smoothly

5. Lift the rear wheel and turn the cranks to make sure the drive to the wheel works smoothly.
