  • Green and yellow food coloring (liquid)
  • 12 chocolate-covered marshmallow cookies (Mallowmars)
  • 3 yellow spice drops
  • Blue nonpareil sprinkles
  • 24 green mini chocolate candies (M&M's)
  • Red and blue tube frosting
  • 1/2 cup chocolate frosting
  • Black licorice laces
  • Flower confetti sprinkles (from baking-supply stores)
  • Resealable plastic bags
  1. Step 1

    GRAVESTONE CUPCAKES:

  2. Step 2

Bake cupcakes. Using Halloween themed cupcake cups is a cute option.

  3. Step 3

Using 1 container of vanilla frosting, frost all cupcakes. (Make sure they are completely cooled, or the frosting will melt.) Combine 1/2 container of vanilla frosting & several drops of black food coloring in a small bowl. The frosting should now be a light shade of gravestone gray. Set aside.

  4. Step 4

Coat Vienna Fingers® using grey frosting. Frost each cookie on all sides, but only cover the top half.
Use the black icing draw a border around the cookie then spell out words such as "RIP." or "BOO!"
Place gravestones in fridge to set for about 10 minutes.

  5. Step 5

    Remove gravestones from the fridge.

  6. Step 6

Gently push one ghost or gravestone into the center of a cupcake.

  7. Step 7

Sprinkle coconut "grass" over the top of each cupcake.

  8. Step 8

Add a candy corn pumpkin to each cupcake.

  9. Step 9

    MISS SPIDER CUPCAKES:

  10. Step 10

Mix 1 1/2 cups of vanilla frosting with the green food coloring. Spoon 1/2 cup of the green frosting into a resealable bag. Tint the remaining vanilla frosting yellow and spoon 3/4 cup of the yellow frosting into a resealable bag.

  11. Step 11

To make Miss Spider's body, place the marshmallow cookies onto a wire cooling rack set over a wax-paper-lined cookie sheet. Heat the remaining yellow frosting in the microwave until just thin enough to pour, about 5 to 10 seconds. (Do not overheat!) Pour the frosting over the cookies to coat them. The excess frosting can be reheated if necessary. Let the cookies set for 30 minutes.

  12. Step 12

Frost the tops of the cupcakes with green frosting and place a marshmallow cookie in the center of each. Snip a 1/4-inch corner from the yellow-frosting bag and pipe a 1-inch mound of frosting for Miss Spider's head.

  13. Step 13

With a sharp paring knife, cut the spice drops into 12 triangles and insert them into Miss Spider's head to make her nose. Add a few blue sprinkles for freckles and attach the green M&M's for eyes. Use the tube frostings to pipe her eyes, mouth, and red top. Spoon the chocolate frosting into a resealable bag and snip a very small corner from bag. Use the chocolate frosting to pipe on her eye lashes.

  14. Step 14

Cut licorice laces into 2-inch pieces. Insert eight pieces as legs on each cupcake. Snip a small corner from the green-frosting bag and pipe spots of grass around her legs. Add the flower confetti sprinkles.
