Emails are the way of communication. There are different types of emails which require different responses. In this article, I will show you how to write a short, informative email that all can read. This is especially good for business related emails

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • A computer
  • An email address
  1. Step 1

When composing an email, know what you want to say. It should be quick, simple and to the point. Make sure that you address the email in a "friendly manner". Ex: Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening, Hi Team, Hi Folks, Hello! etc.

  2. Step 2

The body of the email. Make sure your font is a reader friendly font. Those checking emails on a blackberry or other handheld device may not be able to read some fonts. Make sure that the email is in standard wrting design. No brightly colored words, no crazy backgrounds, and under no circumstances write an email in CAPS - just send a plain email.

  3. Step 3

Write the email body, remembering to keep it short and simple. A lot of information leads to incomplete reading of the email. If you have to scroll and scroll to get the the "point" of the email, you can bet that 90% of the people will not read what you have written. This is a waste of your time, a waste of the readers time, and will cause action items to be lost in the descriptions.

Tips & Warnings
  • Emails do not need to be written in formal formats such as a business letter.
  • The shorter the email the easier to read.
  • No Warnings at present.
