How to Cook Fried Rice

There are many different kind of fried rice you can make. Chinese style, Thai style seafood fried rice, tomato fried rice, vegetables fried rice or spicy fried rice.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Cooked rice
  • Meat or seafood of your choice
  • Eggs
  • Garlic
  • Vegetable oil
  • Butter
  • Spring green onion
  • Salt and pepper for taste
  • soy sauce (optional)
  • Onion (optional)
  • Fish sauce (Thai style)
  • Pepper (Thai style)
  • Carrot (optional)
  • Green peas (vegetables fried rice)
  • Tomato paste or sauce (tomato fried rice)
  • Sweet soy sauce (tomato fried rice)
  1. Step 1

    If you have hot steamed rice; you need to put the rice on the side to cool it down. Don't use hot steamed rice for cooking fried rice or the result will be unsatisfactory.

  2. Step 2

    Crack 2 eggs in the bowl, add a little salt, pepper, and soy sauce (optional), then whisk the eggs with fork. Mince garlic, onion, pepper, carrot and spring green onion. Cut meat and seafood in small cube.

  3. Step 3

    Reheat the frying pan and add vegetables oil and minced garlic (onion too if you use it) on your frying pan until it have a nice fragrance; then add the meat or seafood until it cooked completely. Add pepper and carrot if you use them when the meat or seafood almost cooked. You can add beaten egg to the pan and scramble it.

  4. Step 4

    Lower the heat and add butter, cooked rice, spring green onion, salt, pepper, soy sauce, and tomato sauce or fish sauce if you use them.
    Taste it and refine the flavor if necessary.
