Buying gifts for the writer in your life is only complicated if you run out of ideas. As a freelance writer, who networks with other freelance writers, I've compiled this wish list of sorts sure to please the creative genius to whom you wish to give a gift. Here are some ideas for writer gifts.

   A copy of The Definitive Guide to Making Money Online With Your Writing (Paperback) makes an excellent resource for new freelance writers as well as the more experienced, especially those transitioning to online content. Published in June 2008, this book is up to date and full of valuable resources and information.

   Site Build It!

   Site Build It is my all time favorite gift for a writer. I received a Site Build It! subscription for Christmas one year, and it supercharged my online writing career. Not only did I build an income-producing website, I also learned more about SEO and online content writing than ever before.

   eHow eBook

   Purchase WriterGig's eHow eBook (shameless plug, I know) for your intended recipient. Online writers will likely appreciate the chance to expand their writing and increase their income through the methods outlined in the book.

5. 
   Writers Journal

   Try a year's subscription to the Writers Journal, which allows your writer friend to receive bi-monthly insight, advice, ideas and resources pertinent to her trade.

   Write a Book

   Check out "101 Reasons Why You Must Write A Book: How to Make A Six Figure Income by Writing and Publishing Your Own Book" (Paperback) for the writer in your life who hasn't taken the plunge and written his own masterpiece yet. Even seasoned authors will appreciate the advice and insight from these pages.

7. Give a subscription to The Niche Blogger for new or experienced writers who would like to earn residual income from online blogging. Blogging incomes can be quite good, making this a great gift.
