Step 1
Startsampling.com ~ Once registered, all the samples offered are available. Sometimes they will be through the site itself and the rest of the time it will link you to another page to fill out your information. There are no scams or gimmicks, and 100% nothing to buy. Some samples include O Magazine, Crest Toothpaste, lotions, and food.
-
Step 2
Upromise.com ~ Saving for college has never been easier! Sign up, register your cards (debit, credit, grocery store, etc.) and each time you use the cards (in store or online), you recieve a % back towards college savings. You can even link your account to student loan accounts (such as Sallie Mae) and 529 College Savings Accounts. If you have more than one child, you can have the money divided up between them, and even put more of a % towards one that say, is going to college soon. If you are like me and forget to shop through the upromise site and just head straight to the online store, the Upromise Toolbar will be helpful. It will alert you whenever you visit a site that offers a % towards your account. Another bonus is online coupons. Just select the coupons, click activate, and you will be rewarded when you buy that item at the store.
-
Step 3
Walmart.com ~ Free samples all the time on their site! Dishwashing detergent, laundry detergent, toilet paper, toothpaste, Mr. Clean Magic Erasers, etc. have all been offered on their site. Of course supplies are limited so check back often.
-
Step 4
E-Miles.com ~ Answer a few quick questions and the points you accumulate you can use towards your frequent flyer account. Minimum of 500 points per deposit.
-
Step 5
E-Rewards.com ~ Answer surveys for a $ balance. Rewards are based on the balance. You can transfer your amount based on the list of rewards. Every $5 or so more you earn, the better the rewards. I use this to earn frequent flyer miles. However there are many other rewards such as 26 weeks of the Wall Street Journal.
-
Step 6
Always check a place's online site. I have visited a restaurant's site before dining that night, to find that they had a printable 15% off coupon. I signed up for a Home Depot newsletter or something of the sort, and received a 10% off coupon in the mail!
-
Step 7
Always look into discounts. Especially Military (and spouses). Verizon offers 15% off your bill and about 20% off accessories with a military discount. Our local hospital also recieves discounts through Verizon. For better rates check out www.lowermybills.com or www.billsaver.com. Also, stop using 411 for directory assistance which charges you extra. Call 1-800-373-3411, or use Google (www.google.com/sms) and UpSNAP (www.upsnap.com) which offer free directory assistance that replies within a minute to a text-messaged request sent from a mobile phone.
-
Step 8
For moms to be, current moms, or someone who wants to help out a mom ~ Enfamil.com, Huggies.com, Gerber.com and Pampers.com offer coupons, samples, and great advice. For picture lovers, Olanmills.com has printable coupons as well. For Pedisure information and coupons visit https://pediasure.com/registration.aspx
-
Step 9
Checking out a brand's website has it's perks. I recently received a pack of gum from Stride's (gum) website and a cookie from Kashi's website.
-
Step 10
Savings: Saving money for my son got easier once I started thinking about how much I would spend on Dunkin Donuts coffee and lattes each week. I decided each morning to skip my usual trip to coffee heaven, and put that extra money into my son's account. I then started doing this with the money I used to spend on tanning, manicures, and bottled water. My son now has a decent sized savings account and I feel better knowing i'm not wasting the money.
-
Step 11
If you aren't into the whole eBay or Craigslist websites, there are always consignment stores. Our local consignment store sells the items, then takes 1/2 the profit and gives me the other 1/2.
-
Step 12
If you currently subscribe to Parenting Magazine, you are eligible for 20% in Cash Back Rewards on certain online shops. For more information visit: http://www.parentingprivileges.com
-
Step 13
Save money by paying bills online. Most banks don't charge a fee for online payments and you save money on envelopes, checks, and stamps!
-
Step 14
Stock up on coupons. www.couponcart.com or CoolSavings (www.coolsavings.com), and shop on double-coupon days if your grocer has them.
-
Step 15
www.chuckecheese.com. What a great site! Not only can you sign up for money saving coupons and tokens, but you can print out clever calendars such as for book reading, room cleaning, potty training, etc. When your child has completed the calendar requirements, they can take it Chuck E Cheese for 10 free tokens! It's a great way to motivate your little one! Also, have your child bring in their most recent report card and they will receive free tokens for good grades!
