Step 1
Adjust the seat so that your leg is almost straight when the pedal is in the lowest position.

Step 2
For a mountain bike adjust the handlebars so that can grasp them comfortably when you are sitting upright.

Step 3
Ride the bike around for a while and readjust any thing that is uncomfortable.
