How to Make Dum Dum tissue ghosts

Easy to make ghosts do double duty as decorations and a sweet treat.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

• white tissue wrapping paper
• dum dum or any other favorite sucker
• white string
• black fine point marker

1. Cut "circle-ish" shapes out of tissue paper, no need to be perfect. Make sure the size corresponds to the size of the suckers you are using. About 6-8 inches is a good for most.

2. Place "head" in the center and smooth tissue around and gather at the "neck".

3. Tie neck with string, leaving excess length if you plan to hang them, if not, trim close.

4. Use fine tip marker to add facial feature of your choice.

Tips & Warnings

• The idea is very basic but with a little time and creativity there is no end to the possibilities. Make them scary by jaggedly chopping the circles out and drawing scary faces. Use colored or printed tissue and happy features for a more kid-friendly look. Dress them up with ribbon neck ties instead of string for a formal gathering. Just about any theme can be incorporated. Ghost can be hung or stuck just about anywhere thanks to their handy stems. They can be placed in centerpieces and flower arrangements by simply taping to bamboo sticks in an appropriate length.
