listen effectively

Many people love to talk. People love to talk, everyone is a professional speaker but no one is a professional listener. The most overlooked step in effective communication is listening. Lets learn how to be a better communicator

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Whenever someone is talking don't think about what you are going to say next while they are speaking. Whenever you are thinking about what to say next, you are not receiving clear communication.

  2. Step 2

Some times you need to repeat back what the person is saying for clarification. This not only will allow you to have good communication but it ensures you are actively listening.

  3. Step 3

Don't speak while someone else is speaking. If everyone is talking at the same time obviously no one is listening. Try to take something away from the conversation. If you are actually trying to learn something instead of teaching something you will greatly benefit from any conversation
