This article is to help you dress your Christmas tree for Santa

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Christmas Lights
  • Christmas Ornaments
  • Garland
  • Candy Canes
  • Cookies & Milk
  1. Step 1

The first thing you do when getting ready to dress your tree is to get out all your decorations to see what is ok to use as sometimes things get broken during the year

  2. Step 2

After you have looked over all your decorations, you have to fish to find the lights & make sure all of them work after you have made sure that the light work now you have to decide which ones are you going to use, once you do that then you are ready to put your lights on your tree

  3. Step 3

After you have out the lights on the tree the hardest part is over now the fun starts. You find yourself fishing in those boxes for those special ornaments that you saved from way back when. I have some ornaments from when my son was a baby that was 21yrs ago, still have some things that he made for the Christmas tree

  4. Step 4

Then after you have put all those pretty ornaments on the tree you have to decide if you are going to put that shiny tinsle on the tree I stopped using it as my dog would brush his tail and all the tinsle was on his tail instead of the tree and then he wanted to eat the tinsle so we stopped using tinsle

  5. Step 5

Next comes the candy canes I buy the ones that hang on the branch not the little ones

  6. Step 6

Then finally you get to put the garland around the tree we still stick to the traditional gold and silver some people use different colors but I am old fashioned

  7. Step 7

And last you get to put the star or the angel on the top of the tree this is usually hubby's task as then he says he finishes the tree

Tips & Warnings
  • start going over your decorations early
  • make sure your lights work
  • make sure you have a tree stand thats going to fit the tree
  • turn off lights when not at home
  • use plenty of water in your tree
