Backpacking In the wilderness

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • Water
  • Trail Mix
  • A buddy
  • Map
  • Compass
  • WALKIE TALKIES
  1. Step 1

    When you start off backpacking you would want to pack a lite back pack to get started. You do not want it so heavy you get tired right away. Pack some trail mix, drinks (No Sodas)all water. You would need to have you map and a compass. Bring your Walkie Talkies. Cell Phones may not work.

  2. Step 2

    Call a friend. You should have a friend for the "Buddy System". Sure it may be for Boy Scouts, but it can also save your life. If you get hurt no one will know where you are at. It is a good idea to have a buddy.

  3. Step 3

    When you go for the backpacking trip and its your first time. Try something very easy and if the park has some classes take it. Don't forget never go hiking with out a buddy,bring plenty of water and your walkie talkies.

Tips & Warnings
  • Tell some one else where you plan to go, how long and also give them a map.
  • Have a buddy system.
  • Take you time in back backing
  • Pack Lite
  • Bring trail mix, water and other important things.
  • You may only watch the wild life animals, just don't get close to them or feed them.
  • Keep an eye on the time
  • Keep an EYE on your buddy
  • If you see a bear make noises with pots and pans. It scares them. Never revoke the bear, panthers or any wild animals that attacks Humans
