  1. Step 1

Their are many different ways you can choose to invest in gold, you could invest in gold bullion, which are bars of gold, you could invest in gold coins, such as gold krugerrands, or you could choose to invest in gold stocks, which is almost like gold bullion, but slightly different.

  2. Step 2

Fist lets talk about gold bullion or bars as some people call them, gold bar come in a verity of weights, the most common of which is one ounce. Gold bullion is a good long term investment, because gold bullion or bars are valued on their metal value, for example: if you have a one ounce gold bullion bar and gold prices are 900 per ounce, then your gold is worth 900.

  3. Step 3

Next lets talk about gold coins, gold coins are a great long or short term investment, because their values, are based not only on their on metal value (how much gold is in the coin), but also, the year in which it was minted, the condition of the coin, the type of coin , how rare the coin is, how old the coin is, and also the gold content of the coins.

  4. Step 4

Next lets talk about gold stocks, these also can be a long or short term investment also. Gold stocks can be bought at low prices and sold at hight prices very easy. Although you don't actually own gold the metal, you have stock in the gold market. Gold stocks are not actually like owning gold, their is a big difference.
