Things You'll Need:
- Kodak Easy Share C653 with batteries installed
-
Step 1
Turn on your digital camera by turning the disk on the top right side of your camera over to the green Auto icon located on the top of the disk. Allow your camera to boot up before moving on. You will know this is done when you see a real time picture on your screen.
-
Step 2
Locate and push the button on the bottom right side of the rear of your camera that says Menu. This is to the right of your screen, and to the left of your directional pad. Once the menu has opened, you will see a list of the different options that your camera is capable of handling.
-
Step 3
Use your directional pad to go down through the menu to the 6th spot that will say Center Zone. This is your focus zone option menu. Click on the OK button in the middle of your directional pad to select this option.
-
Step 4
Look at the options, as there are only two on this model. To choose the Multi Zone, use your directional pad to go to this option and click on the OK button to select and keep your selection. The multi zone option can be used for a family photo, or multiple people in the same picture that are not sitting close together. This will help your camera to focus on more than just the center of the area.
-
Step 5
If you would like to keep the Center Zone for your focus, simply use your directional pad to go down on the list to this option, and click on the OK button to keep your selection. The center zone keeps your camera's focus in the middle of the picture, so that if there are other people around the outer edges of your zone, it will not pick them up as easily. This should be used for single person pictures or close ups.
