Step 1
Go around and put away the big things that are either heavy or will get in the way of running.

Have the kids help you push the toy grocery cart around from room to room "shopping" for toys on the floor.

If each room is super messy you can do this once per room, if the house is only a moderate clutter nightmare you can go through all the rooms before you end up at your toy shelf/bin/storage area.

Step 4
After you've picked up all the toys and put them in the shopping cart you can sit on the floor (bonus for you) and start sorting the toys into the bins on your toy shelf.

Step 5
Anything that belongs in a different room gets handed to a kid to run it back to it's home. Try "Ready, Set, GO!" to get them moving quickly.

Step 6
Soon the toys are put away, the kids are tired out and you are a happy parent.
