    Sewing the sequins.

Sew red sequins in a double row following the traced outline of the letter R. Slightly overlap the sequins as you go. Continue until outline is entirely filled in with the sequins.

    Adding some detail.

Go to the sewing machine. Select a preferred embroidery stitch. Pin and center the green felt piece to the back of the muslin circle.

Begin sewing in a circle around the initial R until circle is completed. This step adds a decorative stitch to the monogrammed ornament at the same time it secures felt backing.

  5. Step 5
    Finished!
    Finished!

Lay finished piece over the inner hoop (centered) and over this fit the top hoop. Tighten to secure. The monogrammed Christmas ornaments are ready to hang on the Christmas tree or tie on a package.

Tips & Warnings
  • If your sewing machine doesn't do fancy stitches, you can always hand embroider a design to your liking.
  • To pick up the sequin for threading, I wet my finger first and just dab at the sequin. It'll stick right to your finger making it easy to thread.
