Hire a DJ for your Wedding Reception

Hiring a DJ is an important part of
your wedding. Here are some helpful tips.

Difficulty: Moderate
Instructions
  1. Step 1

The first thing you'll want to do is look online or in
the phone book and select some possible choices.

  2. Step 2

Set a time to meet with the DJ to discuss the type of music you want
and the type of wedding you are having.
Let the DJ know if your wedding is casual, semi-formal, or formal
and what time and date the wedding will be held.

  3. Step 3

Now is the time to ask lots of questions of the DJ.
You want to be sure that he/she will be able to cater to your
expectations. What type of equipment do they use and do they
have back-up? What music do they play and will they comply will your
    music guidelines?

  4. Step 4

Find out what the DJ's fee will be and what is included.
Get everything in writing! A professional will have a contract.

Tips & Warnings
  • Make sure you get a business card and the DJ knows how to contact you.
  • Make sure your DJ has insurance because accidents can happen.
