Brushing your dog's teeth
Brushing your dog's teeth

When Baby's breath begins to smell not so sweet, then it's time to freshen up her breath, and surprisingly not much different than we would our own.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • one small tube of toothpaste especially formulated for dogs and puppies this can be found in all pet shops.
  • a small but soft bristled toothbrush a children's size is fine.
  1. Step 1

Gently take Baby by her muzzle. With one hand on the top jaw, and the other on her lower jaw, open her mouth, then prepare the toothpaste, sqeeze out approximately a small pea size and put it on the bristle of the toothbrush.

  2. Step 2

Begin by starting with the teeth on the lower jaw, first. Use short light strokes from left to right. Covering the surfaces of the outer teeth on the lower jaw. Then the surface of the inner teeth on the lower jaw.

  3. Step 3

Repeat the same procedure with the teeth on the upper jaw, using light strokes in the left to right direction, cover all surfaces of the teeth, inner and outer. Next make sure to have Baby drink plenty of water, to flush out the residue of the toothpaste. Since dogs can't rinse their mouths out like us, this is the only way to have them wash away any foreign particles and toothpaste residues.
