Keep the cereal and snack boxes intact and let kids cover them with colored paper to create a miniature town for play time (see link for photos).

  7. Step 7

Use an empty cereal box to create a Finger Puppet Theater (see resources below for link to step-by-step instructions.

  8. Step 8

  11. Step 11

Cut circles from empty boxes and create a game using the link in resources below (Cereal Box Matching Game).

  12. Step 12

  13. Step 13

Make a cereal box scrapbook using the step-by-step directions in the resource link below. This is a creative way to make memory books for gifts, holidays, and teaching kids to write their own books.

  14. Step 14

With scissors, and different sizes of empty food boxes, you can make drawer organizer boxes. Clean cluttered drawers and shelves by simply following the directions in the link in resources below. You'll save a lot of money by reusing your food boxes instead of purchasing expensive drawer organizers.

  19. Step 19

Cut box tops coupons from General Mills boxes, and donate them to a local school that collects them, or place an "offer" post on Freecycle. Many schools collect these to help raise money for items the school needs but cannot afford.

  20. Step 20

Make business cards from your empty food boxes. See below in resources for a business that makes these.

  21. Step 21

Cut pieces of cardboard, and use them for luggage tags. Write your information on the cardboard tag with a permanent marker, and tie it to your luggage with a plastic utility tie.

  22. Step 22

Kids can make a unique box toy. Using the step-by-step instructions in the resource link below, kids will have fun making and playing with their Big-Rig Truck made out of boxes.
