Tips & Warnings

  • The best defense against the cold virus is to not catch it in the first place. Frequent and thorough hand washing is the best way to avoid sickness.
  • Throw away used tissues in the garbage to keep those around you healthy.
  • Cover your mouth when you cough or sneeze to help stop the spread of the virus.
  • Antibiotics fight bacteria, not viruses, so they are ineffective against the common cold.
  • For a lingering cough see your doctor.

on 9/12/2009 How do I know if I have a cold or just allergies? I woke up this morning and I had a really running nose and then ever since breakfast I have been sneezing all day. I have been coughing a little bit. I dont have any allergies that I know of. How can I tell if I am really coming down with something or if I'm just allergic to something?

on 3/3/2009 The best defense against the cold virus is not to catch it in the first place!!! So true, I take a 1000mg of vitamin C every morning and I can't remember the last time I had a cold. Take plenty of vitamin C and stay "cold free".
