Make Money on eHow

It is not hard for a newbie to make money on eHow. Writing How-to articles on topics that you're very familiar with can be quick and easy. The more you write, the more money you can make. Making money on eHow only becomes difficult if you choose titles that are not a natural fit for you. Here are a few tips on how newbies can make money on eHow.

Difficulty: Moderately Easy
Instructions
  1. Step 1

Set up an eHow account. It's pretty much goes without saying in order to make money on eHow you have to set up an account. Make sure you have a PayPal account as eHow pays via PayPal.

  2. Step 2

Create a list of titles. Having a list of titles makes it easier to bang out a few articles each day. Before you write your title, check the eHow database to make sure that the article doesn’t already exist on the site. If it already exists, reword your title. If an article has the same title as one you want to write, make sure it does not approach the how-to in the same fashion that you approach it.

  3. Step 3

Make your how-to article engaging. As a newbie writer your goal is to keep the reader in mind. When a reader comes to your how-to article, they want to be able to insert themselves in your instructions. Don't fall into the newbie trap of using too many descriptive words that are superfluous to the article.

  4. Step 4

Visit the eHow Forums on a regular basis. The forums are a wonderful place for newbies to learn from more experienced eHow writers.

  5. Step 5

Build a foundation of articles. The way for a newbie to make money at eHow is to have a large arsenal of articles. If you write one article a month don't expect to have a large financial return. The more articles you write, the more traffic you get to your articles and the higher the likelihood of someone clicking on the related ads. Success at eHow (and other content sites for that matter) is a numbers game. The higher the numbers, the better the game.

  6. Step 6

Check your stats. Look at your stats in two ways. Look to see which articles are viewed the most and look to see which ones earn the most. This will give you a clue as to the type of articles you should write if you want page views and revenue.

  7. Step 7

Continue to hone your writing skills. Just like any other skill, the more you do it the better you get. Keep honing your writing skills it will pay off in the long run.
