How to Make A Healthy Loaf Of Apple/Cheese Bread.

This bread is delicious for breakfast or for a healthy snack.

Instructions

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 cup whole-wheat flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 3/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup very finely chopped apples
  • 1/2 cup grated cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or nuts of your choice
  1. Step 1

    Heat oven to 350 degrees

    Butter a 9 inch loaf pan.

  2. Step 2

    Blend together the flours, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.

    In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar.

    Add the eggs and beat until the mixture is smooth and creamy.

  3. Step 3

    Into the butter mixture, beat the apples, cheese and nuts.

    Continue beating until the mixture is smooth.

    Add the flour mixture all at once and mix only until the all the flour is moist.

  4. Step 4

    Spoon the batter into the prepared pan.

    Push the batter to the sides of the pan so it is higher there than in the centre.

    Bake for approximately 50 minutes or until tester comes out clean.

    Cool on rack. Serve. Enjoy!
